Ottogi Jin Ramyeon Mild Flavor Mini Cup 65g

Authentic Korean Instant Ramyeon · Single-Serve Mini Cup

This is the single-serve mini cup size of Ottogi Jin Ramyeon, one of Korea's most beloved instant noodle brands. "Ramyeon" is a Korean-style instant noodle dish — a distinctly Korean food culture entirely different from Japanese ramen. The "Mild" version is the gentler of Jin Ramyeon's two varieties (Spicy / Mild), featuring a smooth, rich broth with deep umami from garlic and vegetables. Simply add boiling water and wait about 4 minutes — the most common quick meal found in Korean homes and offices.

Korean-Style Serving Ideas · Recetas Coreanas

The most popular ways to enjoy Jin Ramyeon cup in Korean households. With just boiling water, you can have an authentic Korean-style meal anywhere.

Basic Cup
컵라면 그대로
Pour boiling water (approx. 290ml) up to the fill line on the cup lid and wait 4 minutes. The most common quick meal in Korea — a beloved everyday snack enjoyed at convenience stores, offices, dormitories, and campsites alike.
Egg Topping
계란 라면
Crack a raw egg into the cup before or after adding the water — the hot broth gently cooks it to a soft, runny consistency, making the broth richer and creamier. Adding an egg is the first topping Koreans think of when making Ramyeon.
Kimchi Ramyeon
김치 라면
Add a spoonful of well-ripened Kimchi to bring a tangy, complex depth to the broth. Pairing Kimchi with the Mild version adds just the right amount of heat, delivering the quintessential Korean Ramyeon experience.
Cheese Ramyeon
치즈 라면
Place a slice of cheese on top of the finished Ramyeon and let it melt slightly — the creamy, mild richness balances the savoury broth beautifully. One of the most popular variations among Korean students and young adults.
Tteok Ramyeon
라볶이 스타일
Add Korean rice cakes (Tteok) to the cup while cooking for a hearty Rabokki-style meal. The chewy rice cakes soak up the Ramyeon broth, turning a simple snack into a satisfying full meal — a popular Korean comfort food combination.
Late-Night Snack
한국식 야식
A classic scene from Korean dramas — a comforting cup of Ramyeon late at night. Pair it with Gimbap or a triangle rice ball (Samgak Gimbap) for the most iconic Korean convenience store late-night snack combination.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is Ottogi Jin Ramyeon Mild Mini Cup? How is it different from regular instant noodles?

Ottogi Jin Ramyeon Mild Mini Cup is a cup noodle product made by Ottogi, one of Korea's most iconic instant noodle brands. "Jin" means "rich" or "deep" in Korean, emphasising the full-bodied, flavourful broth. The "Mild" variety is a gentler version compared to the spicy option, making it accessible even for those not used to spicy food. The cup contains noodles, powder soup, and a dried vegetable mix (spring onion, carrot, mushroom, Chinese cabbage, vegetable protein, etc.) — simply add hot water and it's ready in 3–4 minutes. At 65g, the mini size is ideal as a light snack or a quick, simple meal.

Is this Ramyeon suitable for vegans or vegetarians?

No, this product is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. The ingredients include animal-derived components such as chicken extract (concentrated chicken extract) and bone broth seasoning powder (beef bone-based seasoning). The noodles may also contain animal-derived ingredients. We do not recommend this product for those following a plant-based or vegetarian diet.

What allergens are present in this product?

This product contains allergens that must be declared under EU Regulation (EU 1169/2011). The confirmed allergens are as follows: ① Gluten — derived from wheat flour, wheat gluten, and soy sauce powder (contains wheat); ② Soybeans — derived from hydrolysed vegetable protein, soy sauce powder, and textured vegetable protein (TVP); ③ Eggs — egg shell powder is listed on the Korean domestic ingredient label; please check the product packaging directly to confirm its declaration on the EU export label. This product is not gluten-free; individuals with coeliac disease should avoid consumption. If you have any allergies, always check the ingredient label on the product packaging before purchase.

Is the sodium (salt) content high? Are there any health considerations to be aware of?

Yes, this product has a relatively high sodium content. It contains approximately 1.8g of salt (approx. 720mg sodium) per 100g, which is typical for instant noodle products. For those on a low-sodium diet or who need to limit salt intake, we recommend using only half the soup powder or adding more water to dilute the broth. This product also contains flavour enhancers including monosodium glutamate (MSG, E621) and nucleotide seasonings (E627, E631), which are labelled as "flavour enhancers" in accordance with EU regulations. This product is a standard instant food and does not make any health or functional claims.

How do I prepare it? Can it be eaten without hot water?

The simplest preparation method is the cup noodle method. Place the dried vegetable flakes and powder soup inside the cup, pour hot water (approx. 95°C or above) up to the fill line, close the lid, and wait 3–4 minutes. For a chewier noodle texture, we recommend the stovetop method: bring approx. 500ml of water to a boil in a pot, add the noodles and soup, and cook for 3–4 minutes. This method produces a richer broth and more evenly cooked noodles. Adding toppings such as egg, spring onion, mushrooms, or sliced pork makes for an even more satisfying meal. Eating the dry noodles straight from the cup as a snack is not recommended for this product.
