Soju is a traditional Korean distilled spirit with a history spanning over 700 years. The fundamental process involves naturally fermenting starch-rich crops such as rice, sweet potato, and tapioca to produce alcohol, which is then distilled into a clean, smooth spirit. Jinro, founded in 1924, has been Korea's most beloved Soju brand for nearly a century.
"Strawberry Dew" is a fruit Soju crafted on the base of Jinro's flagship product "Chamisul," enriched with the aroma of ripe strawberries and concentrated strawberry juice, and gently finished at 13% vol. With a lower ABV than standard Soju, it has become a popular choice in Korea for casual evening gatherings, home parties, and barbecues.
Just as European wine is born from the natural fermentation of grapes, and whisky and gin emerge from the fermentation and distillation of grains, Korean Soju shares the same brewing tradition of fermentation and distillation. Its ABV is lower than vodka and lighter than whisky, making it an ideal "Table Spirit" to enjoy alongside food.
