Jinro Plum Dew is a fruit Soju based on Korea's iconic distilled spirit, Soju, with added plum flavour. At 13% ABV — similar to regular wine (12–14%) — it is approachable even for those trying Soju for the first time. Unlike wine or beer, Soju is a distilled spirit, not a fermented beverage. Compared to sake, the raw materials and production method are entirely different. Plum Dew is characterised by its sweet and refreshing taste, achieved through the addition of plum concentrate and plum flavouring. In Korea, it is commonly enjoyed cold during or after a meal.

Jinro Plum Dew has the characteristic sweet and slightly tangy taste of plum, and is much smoother and easier to drink than regular Soju. With both natural and artificial plum flavouring and plum juice concentrate, it gives an impression similar to a fruit liqueur. The best way to enjoy it is to chill it thoroughly in the refrigerator and pour it into a small shot glass (Soju glass) to drink straight. It is also excellent diluted with sparkling water or lemonade as a cocktail, or served on the rocks. In Korea, the traditional way is to pair it with salty foods such as Samgyeopsal, fried chicken, or seafood.

The main ingredients of Jinro Plum Dew are: water, neutral spirits (ethyl alcohol), sucrose, glucose-fructose syrup (EU designation), citric acid (E330), lactic acid (E270), plum flavour (artificial/natural), natural lime flavour, and plum juice concentrate. The presence of any of the EU 14 major allergens (gluten, tree nuts, dairy, etc.) has not been officially confirmed. Additionally, the presence of sulphites — which may be used in the production of alcoholic beverages — has not been confirmed; if present at 10 mg/L or above, EU regulations require allergen labelling. Suitability for vegans and vegetarians has not been officially confirmed. Some alcoholic beverages may use animal-derived fining agents during production; however, the manufacturer has not provided official confirmation for this product. Those strictly following a vegan or vegetarian diet are advised to contact HiteJinro directly. Regarding halal certification: this product contains alcohol (13% ABV) and is therefore not halal-certified. It is not suitable for those following a halal diet.

Before opening, store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. After opening, seal the cap tightly and refrigerate; it is recommended to consume within 1–2 weeks of opening.
