Authentic Japanese Beverage · Hatakosen Ramune Cola
Ramune (ラムネ) is Japan's iconic sparkling soft drink, long associated with summer festivals (夏祭り) — and this is its cola flavour edition. The distinctive Codd-neck bottle design, sealed with a glass marble (ビー玉) that must be pushed inward to open, is a piece of living Japanese nostalgia kept alive for over a century by Hatakosen (ハタ鉱泉), founded in 1897. The familiar sweetness of cola meets Ramune's signature crisp carbonation, delivering the unmistakable atmosphere of a Japanese Dagashi-ya (駄菓子屋) — a traditional neighbourhood candy shop.
Water, Sugar, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Acidity Regulator E290 (Carbon Dioxide), Acidity Regulator E330 (Citric Acid), Colour E150a (Caramel Colour), Flavouring.

Classic ways to enjoy Ramune in Japanese homes and festivals — experience authentic Japanese food culture as it truly is.
Authentic Japanese refreshment, directly from Japan — dotAsia imports genuine Hata Ramune straight from Japan and delivers it safely across the EU.
Hata Ramune is a traditional Japanese sparkling soft drink brand with a heritage stretching back to 1872. Its most distinctive feature is the unique Codd-neck bottle design, which contains a glass marble (marble ball) sealed inside. Before drinking, you push the marble inward using the included plastic plunger to open the bottle — an experience unlike any other. The cola flavour version combines the familiar taste of cola with Ramune's signature light and refreshing carbonation, resulting in a drink that is gentler in sweetness yet more intensely fizzy than standard cola. In Europe, it can be found at specialist Asian food online stores or markets carrying Japanese and Korean products.
Yes, Hata Ramune Cola Flavour 200ml is suitable for both Vegans and Vegetarians. The ingredients — water, sugar, glucose-fructose syrup, acidity regulators (E290 carbon dioxide, E330 citric acid), colour (E150a caramel colour), and flavouring — contain no animal-derived ingredients. It is also a Gluten-Free product. Please note that Halal certification has not been confirmed at this time; those following a strict Halal diet are advised to contact the manufacturer directly before purchasing.
Opening a Ramune bottle may feel unfamiliar at first, but it quickly becomes a fun and satisfying experience. Here is how: ① Twist and remove the plastic cap at the top of the bottle to reveal the plunger (a small plastic push rod). ② Place the plunger on top of the bottle neck and press down firmly with the palm of your hand to push the glass marble downward into the bottle. A 'pop' sound followed by a rush of carbonation means it is open. ③ The marble remains inside the bottle; while drinking, tilt the bottle at a specific angle so the marble lodges in the groove of the bottle neck, preventing it from blocking the flow. Once opened, it is recommended to drink the Ramune as soon as possible to preserve the carbonation.
All additives used in Hata Ramune Cola Flavour are approved under EU food safety regulations (EC No 1333/2008). The colour E150a (plain caramel colour) is a safe ingredient that does not require any special warning label within the EU. (Note: some other Ramune flavour variants may use E102/E129 colours, which require an EU children's advisory warning, but this cola flavour product does not contain those colours.) The acidity regulators E290 (carbon dioxide) and E330 (citric acid) are widely used in standard carbonated beverages. Please be aware that this product contains approximately 10.1g of sugars per 100ml, making it a high-sugar drink; those monitoring their sugar intake are advised to enjoy it in moderation.
Hata Ramune Cola Flavour is best enjoyed chilled straight from the bottle, but it can also be used in a variety of creative ways. For food pairings, it goes well with salty snacks such as popcorn, crisps, and pretzels, where its sweet fizz balances out the saltiness. It also works brilliantly as a dessert drink in a soda float style — simply pour Ramune over a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a creamy, refreshing treat. Its distinctive bottle design makes it a natural conversation starter at Asian-themed parties or picnics. For those who enjoy alcoholic drinks, a small amount mixed with light vodka or gin can serve as a fun, sweet cocktail base.
