Authentic Korean · Extra Chewy Korean Wheat Noodles
Jjolmyeon is a beloved Korean wheat noodle known for its exceptionally chewy and springy texture. Firmer and more elastic than Italian al dente pasta, it is traditionally enjoyed in Korea as Bibim-Jjolmyeon (cold spicy mixed noodles) or as an extra noodle sari added to Tteokbokki. Cooked and flash-frozen in Korea by Chilgapnonsan, these noodles are ready to eat in just 1–2 minutes in boiling water, delivering an authentic texture straight from the source. Individually portioned into 5 × 180g packs for convenient single-serving use.
Jjolmyeon Sari noodles contain no seasoning — the accompanying sauce determines the overall flavour. The ratings below reflect the characteristics of the noodles themselves.

Jjolmyeon is a type of Korean wheat noodle that is significantly thicker and more elastic than Italian pasta. Rather than being served in broth like Ramyeon, it is typically enjoyed as a "bibim" (mixed) style dish tossed in a spicy Gochujang-based sauce. The texture is distinctively chewy and firm, offering a satisfying bite. Chilgap Jjolmyeon Sari is supplied as a pre-cooked frozen noodle, making preparation quick and convenient.

There are two cooking methods: ① Thaw in the refrigerator, then blanch in boiling water for 2–3 minutes and rinse under cold water; or ② Place directly from frozen into boiling water and heat for 3–4 minutes until the noodles separate. Do not refreeze once thawed.
Jjolmyeon is a staple menu item at Korean bunsik restaurants (casual Korean snack eateries), and is especially popular served cold during summer. In European terms, it occupies a similar position to Italian pasta insalata (cold pasta salad), but with a far more elastic noodle that delivers a completely different eating experience. The spicy Gochujang sauce is the key flavour element, balanced by fresh vegetables such as cucumber and carrot for a cool, refreshing finish. Those new to spicy food can easily adjust the amount of sauce to suit their own taste.
