Discover the many ways Bibigo Bulgogi Gimbap is enjoyed in Korean homes — experience the flavours of authentic Korean cuisine.

Gimbap
김밥 그대로
Heat in the microwave, slice into bite-sized pieces, and enjoy as is. In Korea, this is the most common way to eat Gimbap — as a lunch box, picnic snack, or school meal. It is a complete meal on its own, even without a dipping sauce or pickled radish.
Lunchbox
도시락 구성
A classic lunchbox choice for Korean office workers and students. Pack Gimbap alongside pickled radish, a piece of Kimchi, Tteokbokki, or fruit to create a complete Korean home-style Dosirak (lunchbox). Perfect for carrying to the office, a picnic, or on a trip.
Tteokbokki Set
떡볶이와 페어링
The most popular combination at Korean street food stalls — dip Gimbap lightly into the spicy Tteokbokki sauce. The soft, savoury umami of Gimbap balances the heat of Tteokbokki, creating Korea's most beloved snack combo.
Ramyeon Side
라면과 함께
Pairing Korean-style Ramyeon (such as Shin Ramyeon or Jin Ramyeon) with Gimbap is one of the most common meal combinations in Korea. A spoonful of hot Ramyeon broth, a bite of Gimbap — this simple pairing is the ultimate Korean comfort meal.
Eomuk-tang Pair
어묵탕 곁들임
A classic combination from Korean street food culture. A warm bowl of Eomuk-tang (fish cake broth) alongside a roll of Gimbap is one of the most beloved winter snack sets in Korea. The warm broth brings out the flavours of the Gimbap beautifully.
Sundubu Combo
순두부찌개 곁들임
A staple of Korean home-style dining — spicy Sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) paired with a roll of Gimbap. The Gimbap provides a quick carbohydrate boost while the stew delivers a warming broth, together making a satisfying Korean meal.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is Bibigo Bulgogi Gimbap? How is it different from a sushi roll?

Gimbap is a traditional Korean rice roll made by wrapping seasoned rice and various fillings in gim (roasted seaweed sheets). While it may look similar to Japanese sushi rolls, there are important differences. Sushi uses vinegar-seasoned rice and typically raw fish, whereas Gimbap uses rice seasoned with sesame oil and salt, filled with cooked vegetables and protein. This product is a frozen Gimbap made for EU export, where the "Bulgogi" filling is not actual beef but a plant-based protein (TVP) made from a blend of wheat gluten, pea protein, and soybean — recreating the Bulgogi flavour as a vegan product. In Korea, Gimbap is a staple everyday food enjoyed at picnics, as a lunch box, and as a quick meal.

Is this product suitable for vegans or vegetarians?

Yes, this product is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians. Despite the name "Bulgogi," it contains no actual beef whatsoever. Made for EU export, the Bulgogi filling in this product is crafted from plant-based protein (Texturized Vegetable Protein, TVP) — a blend of wheat gluten, pea protein, and defatted soybean powder — and contains no animal-derived ingredients. Please note, however, that the product contains gluten (wheat), soybean, and sesame, so those with sensitivities to these ingredients should take care.

I have allergies — is this product safe for me? What allergens does it contain?

This product contains the following three allergens from the EU's 14 mandatory allergen declarations: ① Gluten — derived from wheat; wheat gluten is present in the plant-based protein filling, soy sauce, seasoning, and other components. ② Soybeans — present in the soy sauce and plant-based protein ingredients. ③ Sesame — present in sesame oil and seasoning. This product is therefore not gluten-free. Anyone with an allergy or intolerance to any of these three ingredients should avoid consumption. The product also contains the flavour enhancers E621 (monosodium glutamate, MSG), E627, and E631.

How do I cook this Gimbap? Can it be eaten straight from frozen?

This product is frozen and must be cooked before consumption. There are two cooking methods: ① Microwave: Place in a microwave-safe container and heat at 700W for approximately 3–4 minutes. Turning it over halfway through ensures even heating. ② Pan cooking: Add a small amount of plant-based oil to a non-stick pan and cook over medium heat, rolling the Gimbap for 3–4 minutes until the outside is lightly golden for a crispy texture. After cooking, slice to your preferred thickness and serve with a soy dipping sauce. Store frozen (below -18°C) and do not refreeze once thawed.

Is the sodium (salt) content of this product high? Are there any health considerations?

The salt content of this product is approximately 1.23g per 100g, which is close to the EU threshold of 1.5g per 100g for "high salt" classification. Consuming the entire 230g pack results in a total salt intake of approximately 2.83g, which represents a significant portion of the WHO recommended daily salt intake for adults (5g). Those who are managing their sodium intake, or who have high blood pressure, cardiovascular conditions, or other health concerns, are advised to moderate their portion size. Rather than consuming the entire pack at once, it is recommended to enjoy it alongside other foods.
