Sempio Jin Ganjang S contains allergens that must be declared under EU Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011. Specifically, it contains Gluten (from wheat) and Soybeans (from defatted soybean). Sempio Jin Ganjang S contains spirits at 1.070%. It is therefore not a completely alcohol-free product. This small amount of spirits serves a preservative and flavour-enhancing function during the fermentation process. Those who avoid alcohol for health, religious, or personal reasons — including children and alcohol-sensitive individuals — should take note. This product is also not halal-certified; those requiring halal-certified products should exercise caution.
Before opening, Sempio Jin Ganjang S should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. After opening, it is recommended to seal the cap tightly and refrigerate. Soy sauce has a naturally high salt content (approx. 16g per 100ml), which provides inherent preservation, but refrigeration after opening will maintain the best flavour. It is generally best used within a few months of opening. As the sodium content is very high, those following a low-sodium diet should monitor their intake accordingly.
