MAMA is a Thai brand. It is produced by Thai President Foods PCL, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, and has been a beloved instant noodle across Southeast Asia for decades. Despite the name "Pork Flavour", the EU export version does not contain actual pork meat in its ingredient list — the pork taste is achieved through artificial flavouring. It is known for its rich, spicy Asian noodle character and is a popular product in Asian grocery stores and Korean supermarkets across Europe.

This product contains EU mandatory allergens as required under EU Regulation 1169/2011. Specifically, it contains gluten (wheat), soybeans (soy sauce) and sesame. Sesame in particular is one of the 14 EU mandatory allergen categories and requires special attention. People with gluten intolerance (coeliac disease), soy allergy or sesame allergy should avoid this product. Yes, this product has a very high sodium content. Per 100g, it contains approximately 1,742mg of sodium (equivalent to approximately 4.42g of salt), which is close to the European adult recommended daily sodium intake of 2,000mg. This is not a low-sodium product. Those managing their sodium intake are advised to use only part of the soup powder sachet, or to dilute the broth with extra water. If you have a health condition requiring sodium restriction such as high blood pressure, please consult a healthcare professional before consuming.

Preparation is very simple. Bring approximately 400–500ml of water to a boil in a saucepan, add the noodles and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in the included soup powder and seasoning sachet and mix well. You can also upgrade the bowl with ingredients easily found at European supermarkets: a soft- or hard-boiled egg, button mushrooms, spinach, sweetcorn or tofu all make great additions for a more substantial meal. To reduce the spice level, try using only half the soup powder. Microwave preparation is also possible — place the noodles and water in a microwave-safe container and heat for approximately 3–4 minutes.
